A very rare collection of lith. plates published in the era shortly after Senefelder's handbook on lithography was published (1818). A splendid early example of fine Swiss (and Mont-Blanc) views in the lithographic technique. Vollständiges Exemplar des sehr seltenen Ansichtenwerkes aus der Frühzeit der Lithographie. Constant Florent Fidèle Bourgeois (1767-1841) war ein französischer Landschaftsmaler, während langen Jahren war er, bemerkenswerterweise als Landschafter, Schüler des grossen Jacques-Louis David. Er lebte lange in Italien. Seine von Agostino Aglio lithographierten Ansichten sind besonders wertvoll. Die sehr breiten Ränder weiss und fast ohne Stockflecken.
