Heute ziehen die Veranstalter der Kasseler Documenta eine künstlerische Bilanz, das finanzielle Desaster steht schließlich längst fest. Nach der jüngsten Prognose wird die Kunstschau mit einem Minus von rund sieben Millionen Euro abschließen, die Stadt Kassel und das Land Hessen müssen einen Rettungsschirm aufspannen, damit die Ausstellung noch bis zum Wochenende geöffnet bleiben kann. Wie lautete noch mal das Motto der Veranstaltung? "Von Athen lernen."

suggests that it must have been printed between 1817 and 1825
an incomplete copy of the book in
cambridge university library
has a letterpress title-page dated 1816
such evidence , taken along with
the style of the lithographic work,
suggests a dating nearer 1817 than 1825 ²
² The British Library catalogues and H.W. Lowndes, The bibliographer's manual of English literature
(revised by H.G.Bohn, London, 1864), both give the date of this lithographed edition as 1802.
Such a date is quite out of the question. 1802 may have stemmed from a transposition of the last two digits of 1820, a date which would accord with lithographic evidence, or it may have been a straightforward
confusion with an earlier letterpress edition. The Dictionary of National Biography gives the date as 1816.
Both Lowndes and Martin, Bibliographical catalogue , claim that only fifty copies were printed and that they were not for sale.

| Freude am eigenen Tun, Motivation, Wille, Zielgerichtetheit, Disziplin und Kreativität, aber auch Ausdauer und Kooperationsbereitschaft und oftmals hartes Training bringen nicht nur eine Primaballerina zu Erfolgen. Vor und hinter der Bühne können allerdings Welten liegen. Sobald Masken und Schminke entfernt werden, verbirgt sich hinter der Albernheit des Clowns vielleicht eine tiefe Traurigkeit? Die disziplinierte Ballerina verzweifelt vielleicht manchmal an sich selbst und an ihren Beziehungen, ist im Alltag ein eher unsicherer, schnell entmutigter, wenig dynamischer Mensch? |  |
 | Unsere sozialen Rollen und unsere emotionalen „Masken“ geben uns zwar Sicherheit, engen uns aber auch nicht selten ein. Therapie hilft, hinter manchmal starre eigene „Masken“ zu schauen, Neues auszuprobieren und damit alte schädliche Muster zu unterbrechen oder sie ganz loszulassen. Denn nur die Zukunft ist gestaltbar. |
