FRANCESCO BARTOLOZZI d'après Le Guerchin Breast portrait of a young man. The youth stands in half profile to the left and turns his head to the right. He wears the Italian fashion of the early baroque with a fur-trimmed cape. In the lower left corner is the name of the creator of the composition Guercino (1591-1666). In the lower right corner is the printed signature of the engraver Francesco Bartolozzi (1728-1815). From a series published by John Boydell in London in 1764 with etchings based on compositions by Guercino, which were created by various engravers. De Vesme and Calabi 2174. On laid paper with watermark: crowned coat of arms with a lily and appendix indistinct letters. With a circumferential plate edge. Somewhat stained. Somewhat foxed. Lightly tanned.
